Ontario PNP

Entrepreneur

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s (OINP) Entrepreneur Stream is designed to support individuals from outside of Canada who are looking to implement a new business idea or buy an existing business in Ontario. The Entrepreneur Stream offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to be nominated for permanent residence once their business has been successfully established in Ontario.

OINP Entrepreneur Stream application is a two-stage process.

Stage 1: submit application ---->Temporary Work Permit

Stage 2: Implement business plan----> Permenant Residence

Eligibility

01/ Language requirement:

    Work Permit: No requirement

     Permanent Residency: at least CLB 4 ( IELTS: Listening 4.5/Speaking 4/Writing 4/Reading 3.5).

02/ Experience

    1.  At least 24 months of full-time business experience in the last 60 months.

    2. Your experience must be as a business owner OR as a senior manager (business management).

03/ Personal Net Worth

  1. If your proposed business will be located within the GTA, you must have a minimum net worth of $800,000.

  2. If your proposed business will be located outside the GTA, you must have a minimum net worth of $400,000.

  3. If your proposed business will be in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT)/Digital Communications sector (regardless of your proposed business location), you must have a minimum net worth of $400,000.

04/ Investment

  1. If your proposed business will be located within the GTA, you must make a minimum personal investment of $600,000.

  2. If your proposed business will be located outside of the GTA, you must make a minimum personal investment of $200,000.

  3. If your proposed business will be in the ICT/Digital Communications sector (regardless of where you set up the business), you must make a minimum personal investment of $200,000.

05/ Job Creation

  1. You must commit to creating at least two permanent full-time jobs for Canadian citizens/permanent residents for a business located within the GTA.

  2. You must commit to creating at least one permanent full-time job for a Canadian citizen/permanent resident for a business located outside the GTA or in the ICT/Digital Communications sector.

06/ Business Research Visit

    You must make at least one business-related visit to Ontario in the last 12 months from the date of registering an Expression of Interest if you purchase or are planning to purchase an existing business.
